May, 15th, 2010 – The New HSK at The Confucius Institute at the University of Poitiers reaches a successful conclusion. Over 50 examinees sat the four tiered exam.
The Confucius Institute at the University of Poitiers was the first to hold the HSK in France. All of the examinees were non-Chinese learners. More than 30 examinees sat for the first HSK in 2008.
Institute teachers made thoughtful preparations for the new HSK. In the classroom they gave students a thorough introduction outlining the new HSK. In addition, CNED, a partner of the Confucius institute, gave a comprehensive online introduction to new HSK. The event received attention from several local media outlets. The new HSK is based upon the current climate of Chinese teaching and is comprised of Levels 1 to 4.
The institute is planning to hold new HSK Levels from 1 to 6 in 2011 to meet further requests. In addition, the YCT will also be offered in 2011.
